Maddisun | Cranbrook, BC | Folk, Rock, Alt Country
Larger than life — loud, limitless, and unapologetically heartfelt — Canadian singer-songwriter Maddisun (Maddison Keiver) delivers sunshine-soaked, mountain-made rock ’n’ roll/folk powered by soulful, soaring vocals. Exploring love, loss, growth, redemption, and resilience, she brings unfiltered emotion and magnetic, theatre-worthy energy to every performance. Her sound blends ’70s rock spirit and ’90s country rock grit with expressive modern vocals, echoing Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks, Maggie Rogers, and Oasis.
Born in the wilderness of Cranbrook, BC, (Ktunaxa Kootenay Land) Maddisun sharpened her songwriting and production skills early before travelling through Europe after high school — living whimsically in Ireland, working at Bank of Ireland by day, and building her artistry on the side. Her 2020 debut Self Reflections earned 200K Spotify streams with fan favourites like “Mountain Air,” “Differences,” and “In the End.” After refining her sound with 2021 singles, she returned to Ireland for a songwriting retreat. In Los Angeles, PSY Sound helped shape her 2022 album Home is Where The Music Is, led by the CBC-supported single “Don’t Say No.”
In 2025, she released her third full-length album, The Pages, a deeply personal project that sold over 1,000 physical copies independently through grassroots touring and live performances. Receiving national radio support, including SiriusXM “North Americana” . Following a successful 13-show tour across Ireland and the UK and an official 2026 showcase at Departure Festival in Toronto, Maddisun continues to grow her audience through international touring, authentic storytelling, and unforgettable live performances. Performing over 500 live shows in her career, Maddisun is no stranger to the stage. She truly brings the audience into her world, filled with a bohemian-70s-inspired essence. She likes to turn her stages into a vintage living room. Passing out kazoos for her signature kazoo solo on "Pumpkin Pie" Maddisun loves to lean into the theatrics... as displayed on the upcoming Season 8 of CBC Canada's Family Feud, where Maddisun and her family are contestants. You just never know what Maddisun will bring, but you can guarantee it's always sunshine soaked, positive, good energy.
